Ocean therapy’s Newsletter January 2019
Welcome to our first newsletter! Ok so it’s over half way through January but the team here at Ocean Therapy would like to wish you a very happy healthy and injury free 2019!!
Collectively we thought we would like to release a monthly newsletter and bring you all up to date with the comings and goings of our ‘team’.
We commence on a very positive note, and happily introduce a new member to the team, Rebecca Shalts our new Reflexologist. Rebecca will be offering treatments on a Wednesday morning and a Thursday afternoon at Ocean Therapy bringing a new holistic therapy to the clinic, which we feel will complement our existing catalogue of treatments offered. For further details about Rebecca’s work please check her website out… www.reflexologyrebecca.com
Other news is that I continue my diploma in Orthopaedic acupuncture with monthly visits to the college in West London, lots of new interesting concepts being learnt which I will soon be able to offer within my existing skill set…some of you may be experiencing these new techniques over the next few months!!
Boris & Clare have recently returned from their lovely honeymoon in the Caribbean bringing a tanned glow to the clinic on these gloomy January days! Clare continues to offer a full nutrition service to the clinic further details available on request.
During the last couple of years, we have maximised our team knowledge by sharing our vast knowledge and experience by holding internal CPD sessions which have proved to be invaluable. It also means that we understand how each team member works and the benefits their treatment may offer for a problem, helping us to make appropriate referrals within the clinic where indicated. This has given us the opportunity to share patient case notes (with the clients’ permission of course!), impart our knowledge and gives our patient’s the ultimate multidisciplinary approach to their care, which as the director of Ocean Therapy I would like to consider as our mantra. Helena is expanding this group learning concept further with a CPD group for Osteopaths based around Dorchester & Weymouth, some of the group’s event’s will be open to other therapists. If you are a therapist and are interested in finding out more, you can find details on Facebook at Dorset Osteopathic Group CPD Events …….. www.facebook.com/DorsetCPD
